Eyebrows Represented: Full Eyebrows Spring Trend 2012

Full Eyebrows are all the buzz for fashion designers for Spring 2012!

This look is from the fashion show of Oscar de la Renta for the spring 2012 forecast. The eyebrows are filled in and defined and full.  This trend of full brows were also present in Zac Posen's show(below)
This is a very beautiful and chic look.  It adds youthfulness to the face as well as definition to the overall look.  The trend of full brows goes back to the glorious 1950's and 1970's
                               (1950's brows)

                                (1970's brows)

This trend is easy to achieve and maintain:

  1. Have your eyebrows shaped either by waxing or treading .
  2. Choose a soft brow pencil; this color should be at least two shades lighter than your hair color. If your hair is white or blonde use a pencil color two shades darker than your hair color. Never use black to fill in your brows unless you are going for a fantasy look.
  3. With a brow brush called a spoolie, brush brows downward and lightly trace the pencil along the upper edges of the brows, then brush the brows back in place.
  4. Fill the inner corners and tail ends with light, short strokes of the pencil. Run the spoolie over the entire length of the brows to soften and blend the color.
  5. Finial step lock in the color by setting with face powder.

If your brows are a bit thin you can still have the trendy full brow through Stencils.
I currently purchased a collection of eyebrow stencils from  www.eyebrowz.com. They have eyebrows stencils for every shape you can think of and you can build your own collection for purchase. They also have celebrity inspired eyebrow shapes as well.

So if you have thin brows you can use a eyebrow stencil that is fuller and fill them in with brow power or pencil two shades lighter than your hair color.

Enjoy the trend of fuller shaped eyebrows and look like a runway queen!

  1. I think full eyebrows look great. They are bold and beautiful. I have naturally thin eyebrows. I wonder if there is some kind of permanent makeup I could get that would make them fuller all the time. I wonder how hard it would be to get training in that department.
