Eyebrows Represented: Full Eyebrows Spring Trend 2012

Full Eyebrows are all the buzz for fashion designers for Spring 2012!

This look is from the fashion show of Oscar de la Renta for the spring 2012 forecast. The eyebrows are filled in and defined and full.  This trend of full brows were also present in Zac Posen's show(below)
This is a very beautiful and chic look.  It adds youthfulness to the face as well as definition to the overall look.  The trend of full brows goes back to the glorious 1950's and 1970's
                               (1950's brows)

                                (1970's brows)

This trend is easy to achieve and maintain:

  1. Have your eyebrows shaped either by waxing or treading .
  2. Choose a soft brow pencil; this color should be at least two shades lighter than your hair color. If your hair is white or blonde use a pencil color two shades darker than your hair color. Never use black to fill in your brows unless you are going for a fantasy look.
  3. With a brow brush called a spoolie, brush brows downward and lightly trace the pencil along the upper edges of the brows, then brush the brows back in place.
  4. Fill the inner corners and tail ends with light, short strokes of the pencil. Run the spoolie over the entire length of the brows to soften and blend the color.
  5. Finial step lock in the color by setting with face powder.

If your brows are a bit thin you can still have the trendy full brow through Stencils.
I currently purchased a collection of eyebrow stencils from  www.eyebrowz.com. They have eyebrows stencils for every shape you can think of and you can build your own collection for purchase. They also have celebrity inspired eyebrow shapes as well.

So if you have thin brows you can use a eyebrow stencil that is fuller and fill them in with brow power or pencil two shades lighter than your hair color.

Enjoy the trend of fuller shaped eyebrows and look like a runway queen!

The Neelys Representing: Down Home Food, Class, Love, Memphis &Beauty

The Neelys in Memphis For Their Book Signing: "THE NEELYS' CELEBRATION COOKBOOK"

On a rainy, windy Tuesday night at Booksellers in Memphis,Tennessee, the Handsome couple The Neelys: Pat & Gina walked into a crowd of cheering fans who had multiple cookbooks in hand ready to give their favorite Memphis restaurateurs a southern style welcome.

While on tour promoting their newest cookbook for the holiday season "THE NEELYS' CELEBRATION COOKBOOK," they stopped into their hometown to sign and discuss their newest written masterpiece. They were very gracious, funny and charming to the attendees.  They walked in shook hands, gave hugs and kisses to all who were seated and standing.

The Neely's answered questions, told stories and shared advice about their lives cooking together.  The one thing that impressed me about this Southern couple was their love for each other and their love for Memphis,Tennessee.  They grew up in Memphis and attended the same high school and the love for Memphis is as strong as ever.  Pat Neely said "we never forget about our city."  Pat and Gina also said that before the show Down Home With The Neelys was ever filmed they told the producers at Food Network that it had to be filmed in Memphis, Tennessee.  Pat and Gina also expressed to the crowd of fans that family was very important when it came to the show. Food Network agreed that their children could come to their location if they were out of town and filming in Memphis would keep their (children) lives normal.

As far as food, Pat and Gina said that cooking is trial and error and to use their books as a "blue print" for cooking.  Gina said when she was in corporate America she used Rachel Ray's cookbook because her recipes were for working women.  Mrs. Gina (as I like to call her) expressed to the audience to start writing down their family recipes for their children and grand children.

As far as advice for couples cooking together, Pat and Gina gave a very cute couple married only a year this for advice on cooking together happily, Pat said "it's like a dance" and "if she ask you to wash a pot do it!"

As the Q & A ended, people got out there books, lined up and the Neelys signed every book and took tons of pictures.  So, no matter what occasion you think of this holiday season or year round celebrations do not forget to "Nelly-tize" it with "THE NEELYS' CELEBRATION COOKBOOK!"
